The sun of southern Italy. The rocky coast facing the Adriatic Sea turns golden in the evening sky. The beautiful nature of the Gargano Peninsula is expressed in Venetian art glass. The kitchen, like an art piece clothed in the light of southern Italy, creates a sophisticated space.

A scene from Gargano in the kitchen
The rock surface of Gargano, which is tinted in the gradation of the evening scene, is expressed in Venetian art glass. From the back of the thick glass, hand-engraving is carefully applied to express the texture of the rock surface in an abstract manner. It is delicately painted with gold paint and silver plated with a heavy antique finish. Furthermore, acid etching on the surface gives it a soft impression. The surface shows different expressions depending on the angle of view, giving the space a sense of depth and history.

Venice is the holy land of glass art. The origins of Venetian glass can be traced back to Murano in the 13th century, and its techniques and history have been handed down for about 800 years. Gargano art glass is produced in a workshop that combines tradition and innovation and challenges new designs and techniques. Skilled Italian artisans create beautiful pieces by hand using traditional techniques.
Natural wood tables that weave through the ages TAVOWOOD
This dining table is made of natural wood, a fusion of master craftsmanship and the breath of nature. The single piece of wood arrived after about 100 years of age, and is finished by skilled Japanese craftsmen who respect the history and story of the wood. Thick legs of heavy stainless steel enhance the charm of the natural wood and give it robustness. Knots and cracks made use of resin enhance the vitality of the wood. Starting with the selection of the wood, the size and finish are custom-made to create a special table that is unique in the world.

Established in 1917. A lumber dealer that purchases fine woods and lumber from all over the world, and handles the entire process from sawing and drying to processing and selling furniture. The company boasts the largest lumber inventory in Japan, with over 200 species and 50,000 pieces.

Covering the entire surface of the kitchen is a mirror produced in a Venetian glassworks, using a traditional technique that has been preserved since the 13th century, Venetian mirrors have historical value and are characterized by their unique beauty and luxury. The mirror itself is made to have the presence of a single work of art by being precisely engraved and decorated by hand.

The beautiful classic floral pattern is applied by hand using the engraving technique of skilled Venetian artisans. The perimeter of the mirror is cut at an angle to create a luminous, three-dimensional look. The silver surface treatment is hand deposited with genuine silver, and combined with the antiqued finish applied to the entire piece, a gentle and deep reflection is achieved.

HISTORY OF SPIGA The epot-making kitchen that changed the history of kitchens
The name "SPIGA TRE" comes from a milestone in the history of Toyo Kitchen Style: the "Spiga" kitchen introduced in 1990. It was the predecessor of the first island kitchen in Japan, which we would later introduce. It made a huge impact in Japan, where only wall-mounted kitchens were available at the time. The following year, in 1991, we launched "Spiga Due" and began our journey as a premium kitchen manufacturer. The multifunctional sink, mixed-material design, and efficient storage systems that have become the hallmarks of today's Toyo kitchens were born at this time. In 2024, the year of our 90th anniversary, we will present the SPIGA TRE collection as a new challenge.
