Midori Otani's home, which we visited this time, is a house where comfort is the first priority and her "likes" are valued.
The center of the house is the 74m2 LDK, and we asked her about her thoughts on the large space coordinated with Toyo Kitchen Style products.

The Otani residence is located in a quiet residential area in Nagoya. The spacious LDK is located at the end of the hallway from the entrance. This one-room space, which enjoys pleasant light from the large east-facing window, was created by a skeleton renovation that removed a wall.
The LDK is my favorite place in the house," says Otani.

The star of the space is the high-end kitchen "iNO Shkabla" by Toyo Kitchen Style. The name means "wavy snow pattern (Shkabla)" in Norwegian. iNO Shkabla is made of stainless steel with a special press pattern, and is as beautiful as the snowy surface of a snowy mountain.

I knew the name of Toyo Kitchen Style, but this was the first time I had been in a showroom since we decided to remodel. I was excited to step into the showroom, and as if by magic, I was mesmerized by the sparkling world view. I looked at other kitchen and interior showrooms, but Toyo Kitchen Style left such a strong impression on me that I decided to have the kitchen, LDK furniture, and lighting all in Toyo Kitchen Style.

True to his word, the spacious LDK is beautifully coordinated with the orange "TSUDOI Sofa," the marble dining table from Kartell, and the 1-meter diameter circular light made of handmade crystal glass.

The regal stature of "Shkabla" is like that of a king.

The "iNO Shkabla" in the Otani residence is wide, with a width of 259 cm and a depth of 146 cm, to fit the space. In it, the "PARALLELO Sink" is equipped with a wide sink that can be used for cutting vegetables and meat, washing fish, and serving food on plates. A high faucet "Tallboy" was also chosen as the focal point of the kitchen. The drawer handles are Roulette 35, which have a 3.5 cm diameter and a heavy grip, completing the kitchen with a unique style.
I like sparkling things, so at first I was attracted to the Swarovski handles, but then I thought about the overall balance and settled on the current selection. I call this kitchen 'the king,'" says Otani.

Indeed, the kitchen shines majestically in the sunlight and lighting from the window, giving it the dignity of a king. To allow the view of this beloved king from outside the room, a glass door was installed in the Otani residence beside the door that connects the hall and the LDK.
The glass door makes it possible to see the kitchen even while walking down the hallway," said Mr. Otani. The glass door and the adjoining door are upholstered in genuine cowhide leather, which gives a sense of craftsmanship, and we tried to create a harmony with the kitchen.

Cooking is fun because it's the kitchen that lifts your spirits.

Currently, the four of them live together with their daughter, who is back home for the birth of their second child. In her daily life, she and her daughter often work together in the kitchen. "This kitchen can be used by both of them at the same time without any problem," says Otani.
On the other hand, "Actually, I thought I was done with cooking," she laughs.

Then I decided to remodel my house, and I wanted to change the kitchen, so I went to a Toyo Kitchen Style showroom and fell under their spell.
