Custom-made and realized, a combination of talent and color. Zero flow kitchen

This is the residence of Mr. M in a quiet residential area in Osaka.
In the remodeled LDK, the metal-smoked "iNO" blends in perfectly with the space and shines elegantly.
We asked the wife, who emphasized not only the beauty of the design but also daily usability, about the special features of the remodeling.

I was able to adjust the size to fit the space because it was custom made.

About a year ago, Mr. and Mrs. M remodeled the living room and kitchen of their home.
At first, we planned to renovate only the kitchen, but then we decided that if we were going to have a new kitchen, we wanted to change the flooring as well, so we decided to completely renew the living room as well," says the wife.
The original kitchen was a freestanding type separated by a wall.
The sink was low, and there was no sense of unity with the cupboards behind the kitchen, making it neither easy to use nor visually appealing.

The decision was made to remove the wall and create an open kitchen that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The kitchen was designed with the top-of-the-line iNO model from Toyo Kitchen Style, which the owner had been interested in for a long time.
My husband never used to cook at all, but he wanted to start cooking a little himself.
So we looked around at various kitchens together, and we were attracted to the Toyo Kitchen Style with its dynamic sink.
My husband said, 'With a sink this big, you can even cook fish without any trouble.
(Laughs.) I also thought the elegant shine was nice, so we decided on the iNO metal-smoke sink.

The couple used Toyo Kitchen Style's custom-made system to make iNO fit in with their current home.
We thought it would be easier to use the sink and other appliances in the same position as in the old kitchen, so we placed the heating equipment on the far right, the sink on the left, and created a counter space for eating on the left side.
The space between the sink and heating equipment, as well as the overall length of the sink, could be adjusted to fit the space.
The large sink is deep enough to prevent water from bouncing around, and it's easy to clean.

Focusing on the position of storage. Functionality sought in beauty

When installing iNO, the wife focused on ease of use.
Behind the kitchen, we installed Toyo Kitchen style storage shelves for dishes and cooking appliances, and next to them we had custom-made 90-centimeter-high cabinets with the same metal-smoked doors as in the kitchen," she says.
The cabinets are the same height as the kitchen, so I think it looks cleaner and more unified," he says.

In addition to dishes, rice cookers, toasters, and other appliances are stored in the storage cabinets, and they are taken out only when needed.
I store these appliances at the same height as the kitchen so that I don't have to bend over or stoop down to put them in and out," he says.
I can put them out and put them away in parallel, so it's not a burden at all.

To make it easier for her and her husband to work together in the kitchen, the aisle is more than 1 meter wide, and the wall behind the refrigerator, which used to protrude, has been dug in a little to make it flush with the adjacent storage cabinet, making the aisle Flat.
In addition, the dishwasher was made in a small, compact domestic unit, so it can be built in under the heating equipment, which leads to a more efficient flow line, he says.

Thanks to these innovations, Zero flow kitchen is very easy to use, even though it is larger than before.
Not only is there a large sink for cooking, but you can stand in front of the sink and turn around to see the cupboards, and the dishwasher is within reach of the sink, so you can do your cooking without moving.
The faucet, which I chose because of its design, is also very useful because I can change the direction of the faucet to put water directly into the pots and pans," he says.

The leather "TSUDOI Sofa," selected at first sight, is the star of the living room interior.

The living room, which was transformed along with the kitchen, also features products from the Toyo Kitchen Style.
My husband fell in love with the "TSUDOI Sofa" at first sight at the showroom.
We saw a fabric version of the same sofa on display at the showroom, and at first we thought we would go with that, but then we learned that the fabric could be made from leather, and we thought the Bordeaux color would match our living room, so we bought it along with the TSUDOI Café Table.
As I imagined, it blends well with the curtains in the living room, and I like it very much.

Because of its comfortable seating, Mr. and Mrs. M often have meals on the sofa.

We use the counter in the kitchen for cooking and baking, and the living room for everything else.
Before, there was a dining table between the kitchen and the living room, and we always ate there, but the large table made it easy to put clothes, papers, and other unnecessary things on it, so when we remodeled, we took the plunge and eliminated it.
Thanks to that, the room now feels much more spacious.

The "iNO" has a lot of storage space. Books and paper documents in the drawers on the living room side.

Mrs. M says she likes to live neatly and without much stuff.
True to her words, the LDK of Mrs. M's residence has a neat and orderly impression.
And this orderly atmosphere became even more pronounced after the remodeling.

There was no storage in the living room before.
I don't bring a lot of things into the living room, so I was able to get by,
But even so, there were times when paper documents and the like would end up in the living room. ......
But now that we have iNO in the kitchen, we have a lot of storage space, which is a big help.
In the drawers on the living room side, I store important documents and books in addition to the things I use in the kitchen.

Beyond the role of cooking, "iNO" supports our daily life with its reliable capacity.
