Owner's Voice Vol.20 K's Villa

Weekend home overlooking the sea with the sparkle of Venetian mirrors.

In July 2023, Mr. K, who usually spends his time in the city, built a villa in a perfect location facing the sea.
The layout, interior design, color coordination, and other aspects of the house were all changed to create an extraordinary charm that stimulates all five senses.
The kitchen space overlooking the garden pool is particularly impressive.
We asked them about their thoughts on creating a home that they are particular about.

Weekend home overlooking the sea with the sparkle of Venetian mirrors.

The large white space is like a canvas to enhance the interior.

Mr. K's private villa is located on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture.
It is located on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, facing the Uchiumi Coast, which is known for its shallow waters, and has a resort-like atmosphere.
In summer, this area is crowded with people swimming in the sea.
For me, too, this is a place that holds fond memories from my childhood, when I would come here with my family to play.
And yet it is only about a 45-minute drive from Nagoya City, so when an acquaintance introduced me to the land, I immediately decided to buy it," says Mr. K. "Since then, I have been working on the construction of the house at the same time.

Since then, they have been selecting furniture at the same time as building the house, and have completed a villa with the theme of "weekend relaxation and refreshment.

The key color of the two-floor residence with a Jacuzzi tub and swimming pool in the garden facing southwest is white.
The clear coloring of the white echoes the colors of the sea and sky spreading out before it, giving the impression of fresh vitality.

The word "white" has many nuances, but what I wanted was a pure white.
I wanted the floor, walls, and ceiling to be white, and I wanted to create a wide space both vertically and horizontally.

True to Mr. K's words, the ceiling height of the LDK on the first floor is approximately 4 meters.
Within this space, the kitchen stands out in a striking way.

Interior planning begins with the dining table

Mr. K adopted Toyo Kitchen Style's SPIGA TRE Venezia.
The antique mirrors are used all over the kitchen, making it look like a piece of art.
Placed in front of it is an Italian dining table also clad in mirrors.
In the back, a storage space with a delicate Venetian mosaic depiction of sexy red lips adds impact to the space.

The dining table is the beginning of the interior design plan. I saw it on the Toyo Kitchen Style website and liked it at first glance.

Although the kitchen and dining table are not from the same series, they are in perfect harmony because they both use mirrors handmade in a glass studio in Venice.

I'm an impatient type of person, so I like to make a choice as soon as I see it.
So I went to the Toyo Kitchen Style showroom with a floor plan and chose chairs, sofas, storage, and other items to match the dining table on the spot.
Actually, I couldn't decide on the kitchen until the very end, but when I saw 'SPIGA TRE Venezia on the brochure, I knew it was the one! I was like, "This is it!
Because they chose the kitchen after reading the brochure, they did not see the actual product until after it had been delivered.
However, Mr. K says he had no worries.
The materials, techniques, and finishes are the same, so I knew it would work well in this white space.

Interspersed throughout the space are tricks for enjoying an extraordinary experience.

The red-lipped Venetian mosaic storage unit was also a quick decision after seeing it in the showroom.
When he opened the sliding door, he found the blue dishes reminiscent of the sea beautifully stored inside.
The villa is a place for relaxation and refreshment, but I also enjoy cleaning and cooking.
Especially if the space is furnished with things you like, it is not hard to keep it clean and tidy.
I also like to cook while thinking about how to arrange the dishes on the tableware I have prepared.

Turning to the living room space, a three-seater and a one-seater "Shu" sofa and an ottoman are spaciously laid out.
And behind them is a full-fledged Baccarat table.
There was an extra space, so I put it there just for fun.
A bar corner has been created near the table, and a refrigerator and ice machine have been installed under the counter, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of a casino bar.

Mr. K says it is not a bad idea to spend a relaxing time at the villa, which incorporates various elements, while enjoying the sound of the waves and the sea breeze with all five senses.
The space, which includes a variety of devices for enjoying the extraordinary with family and friends, also leaves a rich margin to empty one's mind and face nature.

Fashionable world view is the appeal of Toyo Kitchen Style.

There are other eye-catching furniture and items in the K residence.
One such item is a personal chair placed under the stairs in the living space.
This is a product of a Middle Eastern Lebanese brand called Bokuja, which is handled by Toyo Kitchen Style.
The pattern is handmade by an artist, so there is only one of this pattern in the world.
I like the rarity and the art-like atmosphere.

In the bathroom near the LDK, a crystal bowl with a metallic finish sparkles in the light, delighting the eyes of visitors.
This is also something I saw in the showroom and liked.
All Toyo Kitchen Style products are fashionable and attractive.

Surrounded by his favorite kitchen and furniture, and healed by nature, he enjoys the freedom and richness of life here.

From his second-floor balcony, Mr. K enjoys an "infinity view" of the sea and the sky blending together.
The charm of a vacation home is its extraordinary nature. This house, too, has become a creative home by taking a few things out of the ordinary living space and putting in some high-design elements.
