Owner's Voice Vol.24 T Residence

Luxurious large space with "iNO" quilt and the shimmer of Kartell

This time we visited Mr. T's residence, a stylish monotone space that gives no sense of domesticity.
Mr. T himself drew the blueprints for this gem of a home, paying close attention to every detail.
The kitchen is the star of the show.
What kind of details does the kitchen have to offer?

Luxurious large space with "iNO" quilt and the shimmer of Kartell

Separate kitchen and living room to enjoy cooking to the fullest

Mr. T's house is located in a quiet residential area of Nagoya City.
Mr. T, who has a deep knowledge of architecture and interior design, fell in love with the layout and purchased this house.
The original spatial structure was good, so while utilizing the parts that could be utilized, Mr. T proposed, created, and ordered almost everything from the floor plan changes to the building materials and interior finishings, drawing the perspective and blueprints himself.

Incidentally, one of the reasons Mr. T was attracted to his current home is the 25-mat LDK.
As she loves to cook, she wanted to use this large space as a dining room and kitchen.
I make bread and cakes in addition to cooking, so I need a lot of space to accommodate all my tools.
I also like to stand in the kitchen with music playing, so if my family members are relaxing in the same place, I won't be able to play the music I want to listen to, right?
That's why I decided to separate the kitchen from the living room.

In the white dining kitchen thus created, the 334 cm wide "iNO" quilt shows its solid beauty.

Luxurious large space created by the good combination of "iNO" quilt and "Bloom S0

The "iNO," with its large depth and sink, is perfect for molding bread and is really easy to use and I like it.
Once I use this "Zero flow kitchen", I can't use any other kitchen," T says firmly.

One of his favorite features is the deep depth of 146 cm.
Taking advantage of this generous size, drawer storage has been installed on both sides.
The sink side holds cooking utensils such as pots and pans, and the other side holds tools for cakes.
Like the kitchen, the wall storage "MIAMI" also uses a "quilt" motif for its surface material.
The TV board in the dining room also uses the "quilt" motif, creating a sense of unity in the room.

Bringing flair to such a luxe large space is the "Bloom S0" pendant light from Kartell placed above the dining table.
The largest of the three types, "Bloom S0," was purchased by Mr. T before he bought this house.
In fact, it was 'Bloom S0' that first attracted me to Toyo Kitchen Style.
I couldn't find a place that displayed this large size, so when I first saw the Bloom S0 in the showroom, I thought, "This is it! I was like, "This is it!
I bought it even before I had decided on a house or location, and I was looking for a house where this lighting would fit.

After many years, the "Blum S0" has found a suitable place and is now shining brightly on the table with its shimmering light.

AIR FLOW is the ultimate in functional beauty. The height and the placement of the items are also very important.

Mr. T says that creating a space is all about inspiration.
The source of this inspiration is his aesthetic eye, cultivated through his travels to hotels and museums around the world, where he came into contact with a variety of interior design and art, as well as his rich experience in food preparation.

Mr. T says that the appeal of the Toyo Kitchen Style is its functional beauty.
The parallel cooking sink and the deep storage space are wonderful, but I am especially impressed with the AIR FLOW (legs).
I marvel at how such a massive stainless steel kitchen is supported by those four slender legs.
The design with the legs allows a robotic vacuum cleaner to pass through, keeps even the largest kitchens clean, and allows toes to enter for easy access to work.
Plus, you can choose a kitchen height of up to 95 cm.
I chose 90 cm, which is a little lower than my height, thinking about swinging a wok.

The kitchen is equipped with two Liebherr and two Marve refrigerators, and two Gaggenau dishwashers and ovens.
We use the refrigerators for cooking and for sweets.
The dish warmers are a must for keeping dishes and food warm.

A quilt pattern connects the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking.

We love Kartell in the living room, bathroom, and entryway area.

In addition to the dining room and kitchen, the T residence also features Toyo Kitchen Style items in the separate living room, washroom, and entrance area.
In the living room, the "New Sicilia Sofa," which was chosen for its comfort, is surrounded by the light and elegant "Invisible Table Row and Jolly" sofas.
In addition, the "Planet Stand" and "Planet Floor," crystal glass lights that look like planets floating in space with their refraction of light, and the "Ming" stick diffuser, which creates a mysterious space, are beautifully arranged around the highly finished Kartell items selected by Mr. T. The "Ming" diffuser is a lightweight and elegant item that can be turned on by gently touching it.
The "Planet" lighting, which can be turned on, off, and dimmed with a gentle touch, is also a favorite of Mr. T. "I love the lighting in the side table in the bedroom and on the terrace," he said.
I have a total of eleven of them for my bedroom side table and terrace dining room.

I think Kartell also has something in common with Toyo Kitchen Style, and I think the technology is wonderful.
For example, the "Louis Ghost" chairs used in the dining room are a rare product that has a presence without being present.
This may be comparable in some ways to the AIR FLOW from Toyo Kitchen Style.
Later, after encountering the aforementioned 'Bloom S0,' the number of items from Kartell grew and grew until I now want all of the products in the catalog."

In other washrooms, the simple and sophisticated "Flip" folding wagon from Kartell is a big hit.
In the entrance hallway, the "Kabuki" floor lamp, which has a strong presence as an objet d'art, beautifully illuminates the nighttime light.

The Toyo Kitchen Style showroom displays a wide range of attractive interior design products, and just looking at them is enough to make one feel happy and transported to a happier time. Thanks to their advanced technology and sense of style, they have created the best interior space for me.

The richness that dwells in the monotone space captivated me during this interview.
