Owner's Voice Vol.25 H Residence

A centripetal residence completed with a trusted stylist.

This is a house in a quiet residential area in Kanagawa.
The house is home to an American husband, his Japanese wife, and their two energetic daughters, ages 7 and 6.
We interviewed them about their thoughts on the kitchen and their encounter with Toyo Kitchen Style in the LDK on the second floor, where fresh breezes and sunlight stream in through the large south-facing windows.

A centripetal residence completed with a trusted stylist.

iNO Q-LAND" stylishly dominates the atmosphere of the space

The light from the upper floor leads you up the stairwell to the LDK.
At the center of the connected space is "iNO Q-LAND," with its distinctive square form.
Dressed in black marble, it has a strong presence.
And behind it, the "ORLANDO" storage cabinet with gray glass is positioned to complement the beauty of the kitchen.

The kitchen was originally simple, but I like to use dishes, so I wanted a large storage space," says the wife, "so I decided to remodel.
We got a newer house and remodeled the entrance and bathroom in addition to the LDK.
Of these, I put the most effort into the kitchen.
I wanted to make it a place where the family could gather, and I wanted it to be a space I liked."

She says that while she visited several showrooms of kitchen manufacturers, Toyo Kitchen Style was the only one that really caught her attention.

A virtuous cycle of living that begins with a kitchen overflowing with functional beauty

When I visited the Toyo Kitchen Style showroom for the first time, I immediately knew I wanted to choose this kitchen," says the wife.
The first reason was the high design quality of the kitchen.

The stylist at the showroom who was in charge of the kitchen said, "iNO Q-LAND will become an interior design just by being in the showroom.
That made a lot of sense to me.
Indeed, I had never seen a square kitchen anywhere else, and it was not only well shaped and designed, but also highly functional, with a sink that was 76 cm square, a size not found anywhere else.
The sink is 76 cm square, which is a size not found anywhere else! It made my dream come true.

The husband, who also loves interior design, says, "The design of this kitchen is very unique, and it can be used not only for cooking but also as a dining table.
At first, I thought we didn't need two faucets, but now I'm so glad we have two because my wife can use the other faucet even when she's washing vegetables," he laughs.

Nodding in agreement, the wife says that this kitchen has made cooking easier.
She washes vegetables in the large sink, cuts them on the cooking plate (cutting board) above the sink, removes pots and pans from the storage drawer under the sink, and cooks on the stove nearby.
"I really feel "Zero flow kitchen" is amazing because I can do that series of tasks with very little movement.
Thanks to this, cooking, which used to be something I was obligated to do, has recently become enjoyable.
As a result, he has become even more skilled at cooking by hand, which has pleased his family and made cooking even more enjoyable, a virtuous cycle.

Now that they are satisfied with the kitchen and dining room, the couple hopes to add a "TSUDOI Sofa" to the living space.

Interior design decisions were made following the advice of the showroom stylist.

In addition to the appeal of the products themselves, another factor that attracted the couple was the presence of a Toyo Kitchen Style stylist.
When we visited the showroom for the first time, we were still unsure whether we would buy a kitchen or not, so he took the time to carefully suggest various kitchen patterns to us.
He had a good sense of suggestion, and at the same time, my husband and I both felt comfortable with his response, so we felt we could trust him.
In fact, without exaggeration, I was convinced by all of the stylist's suggestions.

Take, for example, the color of the storage door by the kitchen window.
The couple was torn between black and silver, as in the kitchen, but the stylist suggested silver without hesitation.
The stylist suggested silver without hesitation, "Black would give a heavy impression, so we decided to use silver to match the top panel of the kitchen, because it would harmonize with the overall space.
Indeed, we chose black for the dining table near the kitchen, so I think the silver storage space between the kitchen and dining table balances out the black.

True to his words, when viewed from the living room, the silver storage space between the kitchen and dining room acts as a highlight, enhancing the interior design.

Silver storage is also a Toyo Kitchen Style product

We are convinced that our space proposals go beyond our own products.

In addition to the LDK, there are other places in the H residence where Toyo Kitchen Style items are placed.
One of them is the washroom on the second floor.
Kartell One of them is the bathroom on the second floor, where the round mirror "All Saints" and the rainbow-colored Venetian mosaic tile "Marigold 3" create a beautiful light competition.
The stylist advised me to use the same top panel as in the kitchen to create a sense of unity.
We consulted with the stylist about the mosaic tiles, which come in many different colors, so we were able to make a smooth decision," says the wife.

The mosaic tiles on the walls of the entrance hall are the same way.
Ortis My husband wanted to use two types of mosaic tiles, one by the stairs and one on the back wall," she says, "so we asked the stylist which one to choose.
The artwork on the wall, which is not a Toyo Kitchen Style product, was also chosen based on the stylist's advice.

The couple had always wanted to decorate their entrance with some kind of art.
Trusting in the stylist's sense of style, they consulted with her, and she replied, "The Italian mosaic tiles in the entryway are effective, so how about an Italian landscape painting?
He smiled and said, "I knew it was right! I knew it!
The brightly colored artwork, which evokes the fresh sunlight and wind, symbolizes the family's contented lifestyle at the H residence.
